Since 2000, Center for Public Integrity investigative projects submitted for awards consideration under Leah Rush’s direction have won more than 30 times. She became lead coordinator and producer of CPI’s journalism awards entries in 2006. Each entry requires a persuasive letter to contest judges and extreme attention to detail when constructing the printed guidebook—a tabbed binder that describes a project’s online presentation, methodology and impact.
